Lucky, Glencuan Lucky. Pointer Dog.

I am timorous of writing this in case I am tempting fate. Those of you who follow my diary will know that Lucky is the sole survivor of Chris & Roxy’s litter, the other seven either having been born dead or died since. It was probably Fading Puppy Syndrome but who knows? This pup is 3/4 Danish as Roxy’s Sire was a Danish Champion, Rossi. He is a big strong pup, but then as an only child you wouldn’t expect anything else. I have never had to deal with a single pup so the learning curve will be upwards. Still here’s hoping.

This is a picture taken today 10/03/09. He is about two and a half weeks old and doing his Gonzo impersonation. Never fear, usually, and I stress usually, dogs with a crumpled face as a puppy have georgeous heads as adults. Again, here’s hoping.
