There is a gentleman who lives in Belfast called Larry Lee. For some years now Larry has used my dogs when he requires a stud dog. It fits in quite well as by now his dogs are effectively my breeding and it gives me a chance to “breed” a litter I couldn’t otherwise afford to do. Well out of the blue Larry appeared with what would be to me a total out cross although Innistona breeding is well known to me. I looked at the bitch’s pedigree and decided that Jump, Irish F.T.Ch. Sugarloaf Bold would be the best dog for her. Larry offered me the pick of the litter and I selected an orange and white bitch which I christened Misty.
Misty was the embodiment of an Innistona pointer and she looked the very essence of a pointer bitch in that she looked like a bitch. Quite often these days bitches look very masculine.
On a short soujourn in Tomatin Misty showed me her full repetoire. She could do everything required but she couldn’t quite do it all at one sitting. I decided that I wasn’t going to have the game to sort herself out and as I already had had interest shown by another Innistona fancier I did a deal and traded Misty to Pete Asbury.
I can’t really take any credit for Misty’s success so this is a link to Pete’s site where you can see photos of Misty and read about her accomplishments to date.
I was very fond of this dog and still take an interest in her.
