Black Mountain.
Sunny but cold.
Jump & Judy :- This is the first run out for any of the dogs this year as the dreaded lurgy has kept me indoors.
I ran them each for about 15 minutes.
Jump :- Good by any standard, exceptional when you take account of the conditions at home with Judy just out of season. He had several good finds on snipe and I did something that I have never done before, TWICE. I was able to pick up snipe that he had pointed. If it had just been one I would have said it was a fluke but the snipe just didn’t want to fly. In addition several birds only flitted forward about three feet the first time and only flew off on the second flush.
Judy :- Only out of season three days and took the hill apart. She was good on her finds and missed only one snipe. I still can’t understand why she looks so big on point. She only stands 19″ at the shoulder.
