Jalad is going to be solely a shooting dog. It would be extremely arrogant of me to believe that nobody else could resolve Jalad's back casting issue but having established that there is a problem I couldn't have sold him as a competition dog. Although I run my dogs in competition I am usually satisfied if I can produce a dog that can do a day's work.

"Sad in a way to see him go but delighted with who has bought him and the sort of life he’s going to."

Me too, I've really enjoyed the way you talk about Jalad - a sort of exasperated affection.

May I ask, will he still be trialling ? or is going to be shot over?

Thanks for great reading matter.

Des, whilst I have every sympathy this post did amuse me. I sometimes forget that I am dealing with animals...and every now and again they do animal-like things!
